Always show drug note pop-up
Drug notes appear in the Dispensed Adorner during the dispensing process.
When this setting is enabled, any notes that are attached to the drug selected for dispensing will appear as a pop-up after making a brand selection, regardless of the number of notes.
When this setting is disabled (default setting), the pop-up will only be displayed if there are more than two notes attached to the selected drug.

Prompt for number of labels threshold
This setting is used to configure when the Multiple Packs prompt appears when finalising a prescription.

Note: the number of labels that can be printed is capped at 2 times the number of packs (e.g. if 2 packs are dispensed, the maximum value that will be accepted is 4).
This helps to prevent users from accidentally printing too many labels if they have pressed the wrong key, or if a barcode is scanned into this prompt.
The threshold can be configured with the following values:
Value
Action
0
This value disables the pop-up so that it will never appear
≥ 1
This value will enable the pop-up to appear when dispensing scripts that are attempting to print out a number of labels equal to or greater than the threshold setting
Note: We recommend a threshold value of 2 as the prompt will not appear on every script and will ask users to confirm the number of labels to print only when there is more than 1 pack dispensed.
Prompt Immediate Supply Dispense
By default, Dispense Works shows warnings when the script being dispensed is an immediate supply. Enabling this setting introduces an extra pop-up to make an immediate supply warning more noticeable.

Prompt for Medicare Details
This setting enables a pop-up to appear when a patient that has no Medicare card has been selected. This prompt also allows users to dispense and claim the prescription using Medicare Special Numbers.

Use Data Compare Pop-up
When this setting is enabled, scanning an eRx/MediSecure barcode, or Electronic Prescription Token into Dispense Works, the Update Patient Details pop-up will be displayed comparing patient information from the Prescription vs Current Details in Dispense Works. These fields will only be shown if there is a difference.
The patient data compare pop-up shows what data the patient has been matched on (i.e. IHI, Medicare, or DVA number) and will include a warning when critical data is being prompted to change, or when four or more data points are different between the patient and prescription.
Critical data points that prompt the additional warning are:
- IHI Number
- Medicare Number or IRN
- Concession Number
- DVA Number or Card Type
- Given or Family Name
- Date of Birth
Note: This feature can be disabled on a per-patient basis in Patient Maintenance (F8) > Patient Preferences > Use MediSecure Updates
