Maintain SOH: Off for Services

Certain items, especially those in the In-Store/Service category, don’t require SOH (Stock on Hand) tracking since they aren’t physical products in the store and thus don’t have available stock.

You may have seen these items showing up in Negative SOH Reports, which then require manual adjustments by entering a positive SOH value. This process is time-consuming and doesn’t provide a long-term solution.

To prevent POS from tracking SOH for these services, you can disable the “Maintain SOH” function in Item Maintenance.

Please note that you can still track transaction history for these services through Sales Reports, Item Reports, or by viewing the CSP Audit.

For items with Maintain SOH enabled, SOH will automatically adjust to zero as part of the End of Day process, with adjustments recorded in the Item Audit.
