Batch Dispensing
Dispense Works supports Batch Dispensing (Quick Dispense, Batch Claiming) when integrated with Webstercare, SureMed X, Quantum (MPS), and MyPak.
Note: Batches for dispensing are generated by the third-party integration software
At the start of batch dispensing the following prompt will appear to select the packing software that the user wishes to dispense for.

This feature allows batch dispensing from different software vendors to occur concurrently on different terminals. This selection is a terminal setting and can be changed by going to Tools > Store Settings > Station Settings > Batch Dispensing Packing Software.
Perform Batch Dispensing:
1.Press [F12] to return to the Dispense Works Home Page
2.Type a full-stop/period '.' into the patient search bar
3.Press [Enter] - this will load the first prescription to be dispensed
4.Continue dispensing as normal
5.When a prescription is completed, the next prescription for the patient will load automatically
6.Once all prescriptions have been completed for a patient, the Script Checkoff screen will be displayed
Note: Batch Dispensing occurs on a per-patient basis. Once a patients' prescriptions have been finalised (following Scan Check), the process is to be started again in order to dispense for the next patient.
Note: If a prescription is not completed, it will be cleared from the batch queue and will not be able to be reloaded. If the prescription is not to be dispensed (e.g. Immediate Supply), it can be cleared by pressing [F12].
Note: If a facility is set to 'Offsite Packing', there will be no movement of stock when completing Batch Dispensing.
Note: Printing of labels and repeats can be turned off for batch dispensing by going to Tools > Printer Settings > Additional Settings
