Ensure all advertising and promotion of products and services complies with
professional and regulatory obligations, and the quality use of medicines, by
- Being supported by evidence and an evidence-based approach
- Being accurate, balanced and not misleading consumers or giving unrealistic expectations
- Not promoting inappropriate or excessive use of a therapeutic good
- Prescription price lists comply with the Therapeutic Goods Advertising Code
A random sample of promotional materials will be reviewed to ensure
- An explanation can be given as to how the claim is supported by evidence
- It is accurate, balanced and does not mislead the consumer
- Does not promote inappropriate or excessive use
- Price lists comply with the Therapeutic Goods Advertising Code (Schedule 4)
