Label Printing
The Label Printer program allows the user to create shelf/ Item labels. Label batches are automatically generated at stores in the following instances: New lines Price changes created from Head Office New promotional prices New Sell prices created locally during Invoice Matching Any manual ‘future’ Sell Price changes you have created Assigning Labels to Printers Label Types can be assigned to a specific printer. When a label is assigned to a printer, users will not get the options about printing, expect for to print or not. It is noted that label batches cannot be assigned to printers only label types. To have your Label Type assigned to a specific printer please contact support. Label Printing Order The labels will print in the order they're displayed on the grid. For example, if you wish for the labels to be printed in alphabetical order, click the Description column heading to sort by description. In this manner you can click to sort by any column and the labels will print according to the sort order displayed on the grid. Creating a New Label Batch Open and Login to the POS Works System Menu. Navigate to the Label Printing program. Select New. Select Label Type by using the drop down option. Enter a Description. Select Save. In the grid, Enter the Item ID or Select ellipsis to search and select items. Enter the quantity of labels required in Number of Tickets cell. Review the Normal Sell (or Promo Sell if item is on promotion) column. This is the Price that will print on the label. Select Save. Select Print. Note: Depending on your Sell Date the system will pick up the Normal Sell and if the Item is Tagged on Promotion the system will display the Promotional information. Remember what prints on your ticket is based on the Label Type you have selected in the header details. To generate Item labels at the point of invoicing you must ensure the applicable 'Product label:' type has been entered against in Item Maintenance program. Note: Label batches that have been printed can be deleted if no longer required. Label Batches for Future Sell Prices Open and Login to the POS Works System Menu. Navigate to the Label Printing program. Select New. Select Label Type by using the drop down option. Select the future 'Sell Date' by using the drop down option. Start and Finish dates will automatically populate in the 'Promo Start' and 'Promo Finish' when Items are on promotion with a ‘start & end’ date. Enter a Description. Select Save. In grid, enter the Item's ID or select the ellipse to search and select items Enter the quantity of labels required in Number of Tickets cell. Review the Normal Sell and the Promo Sell column. This will be the price that will print on the ticket. Select Save. Select Print. Labels will print the future dates to the printer selected. Search For a Label Batch Ability to search for an existing label batch. Open and Login to the POS Works System Menu. Navigate to the Label Printing program. Select Search. This will open Search Window Enter available information in the search criteria. Select Find. Results will populate in the grid below. Tag/ Untag as required. Select Select Tagged or Select one Details will populate the Label Printer window, edit, save and print accordingly. Select Close to close the window. If multiple batches have been selected from the search results, Select Next to view the next batch OR Close to exit the program. You can Crate a Label Batch from Products Contained in other Programs.

Creating a Label Batch from Products Contained in other Programs
Items can be imported from different batches located from within the system. Items can be creates based off Purchase Order Batches, or Stocktake batches, Purchase Invoice batches, Promotion batches, Retail Maintenance batches, etc. 1. Log on to System Menu 2. Select 'Items' 3. Select 'Label Printing' 4. Select 'New' [F2] 5. Select 'Label Type' by using the drop down option 6. Enter in a Description 7. Select 'Save' [F3] 8. In grid, select the ellipsis in 'Item ID' Column 9. Select Tab [5] 'Contained In' 10. Select the ‘ellipsis’ in the required program field to open the applicable search window. 11.Click Find 12.Double Click on the batch that contains the products that you are after 13.Click Find 14.Select Tagged 15.Select 'Save' [F3] 16.Select 'Print' [Ctrl P] 17.Labels will be sent to the printer selected and printed 18.Select 'Close' to close the window
