OKTA Unable to sign in error message
I’ve entered incorrect Okta passwords. “Unable to sign in” error message. Step 1 If you enter an incorrect password six times on your account, this will result in your account will be locked. You will receive an error message “Unable to sign in”. Step 2 You will have to wait 60 minutes for your account to become unlocked. Once 60 minutes have elapsed, return to the Okta Portal and sign in with your username and password. Step 3 You will be successfully logged into the Okta dashboard. Step 4 If, after the 60 minutes have elapsed and you still are unable to verify your password. Please try 3. What if I have forgotten my Okta password? option first. Expired Password – How do I reset my Okta password? Step 1 Go to the Okta Portal, input your username and select “Next”. Step 2 Input your password and select “Verify”. Step 3 If your password has expired, you will receive message “Your Okta password has expired”. The Okta Portal will guide you to enter a new password that meets all the password requirements: At least 8 characters. A lowercase letter. An uppercase letter. A number. A symbol. No parts of your username. Does not include your first name. Does not include your last name. Password cannot be the same as your last 16 passwords.

Change OKTA Password
How do I change my current Okta password? Step 1 Log into the Okta Portal, input your username and select “Next”. Step 2 Input your password and select “Verify”. Step 3 Go to the right-hand pane on your dashboard where your username is displayed and click from the drop-down menu arrow. Step 4 Once you have clicked the username, click the “Settings” button. Step 5 Click the “Reset” button next to Password. Step 6 You will receive a pop-up notification “Are you sure you want to reset the password enrolment”, select “Yes”. Step 7 The Okta Portal will prompt you to confirm with your current password. Input your password you used to sign in. Step 8 After clicking "Verify" you will be prompted to input a new password.
